AOC Côtes du Rhône Villages Visan Rouge
Deep color evoking shades of black cherry.
An initial nose of blackcurrant buds reveals notes of leather, tobacco and caramel liqueur.
On the palate, a round, supple attack with a lovely freshness. The tannins are tight and fine, the structure fine and elegant. The finish is long and fresh.
A fine, complex wine with good ageing potential.
Grapes : 80% Grenache, 20% Syrah

AGEING : 1 – 10 years
Winemaking process : Traditional winemaking, with a long vatting period, where the aim is to gently extract the wine’s substance. Syrah undergoes cold maceration to reveal the fruit and freshness of this grape variety. The temperature is kept below 27°C, and only the free-run juice is used to make this cuvée. The Grenache Noir and part of the Syrah are aged in concrete vats. The remaining Syrah is aged in demi-muids for a minimum of 12 months.
Service temperature : 16 – 18°C
Serve with : This wine is the perfect accompaniment to fine, elaborate dishes based on grilled or stewed red meats, and soft cheeses.
